What we keep, and the rules of the game

Last updated 24 October 2026

The short version

We keep only what the game needs to work: your login, your progress, the name you play under and the picture you pick. We never sell it, and there are no ad trackers in the app.

What we collect

Your email address and name from sign-up (or from Google, Apple or Facebook if you sign in that way), your game progress (coins, levels cleared, rounds, hints and leaderboard points), the display name and profile picture you choose, a copy of your progress in your own browser’s storage so the game works offline, and basic technical logs when something goes wrong.

What other players can see

On the leaderboard other players see your display name, your points, how many levels you have cleared and your profile picture. Nobody sees your email address, and nobody sees your password — we never see it either.

Why we keep it

To save your progress and carry it across your devices, to run the leaderboard and the daily round, and to give you the coins and hints you have earned.

Where it lives

Your records sit on the app platform that runs 9ja Puzzles. A picture you upload for your profile is stored publicly so the leaderboard can show it to other players — so please do not upload anything you would not want others to see.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your progress, your runs and your login are erased with it.

Your rights

You can see everything the game holds about you right here: your progress and coins in Settings and in the game, your name and picture in your profile, and your position on the leaderboard. You can correct them at any time — change your picture as often as you like, and your username once a week. You can erase everything yourself with “Delete my account” in Settings. We never sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

Children

The game is made for all ages, and every player sees the same puzzles and the same board. If you are under 13, play with a parent or guardian, who can delete the account and its data at any time.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page and the new version applies from then on.
